This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for paid services booked through MarriageNCR.

1. Service Fees

Where MarriageNCR charges a service fee, the applicable fee will be communicated before or at the time of booking.

Government fees, appointment fees and third-party charges may be separate from MarriageNCR’s service fee.

2. Cancellation Before Service Begins

If you request cancellation before work on your service has started, you may be eligible for a refund, subject to the applicable booking terms.

Any payment-processing charges or non-refundable third-party costs already incurred may be deducted where applicable.

3. Cancellation After Service Has Started

Once MarriageNCR has started providing a service, a full refund may not be available.

The refund, if any, will depend on:

  • The service purchased
  • Work already completed
  • Third-party costs already incurred
  • Government or appointment charges already paid
  • The specific cancellation terms communicated at booking

4. Government Fees

Government fees paid toward an application, appointment or certificate are generally outside MarriageNCR’s control.

MarriageNCR does not guarantee that government fees will be refunded if an application is rejected, cancelled, delayed or withdrawn.

Where a government authority provides a refund directly, the applicable government rules will apply.

5. Third-Party Charges

Some services may involve third-party providers.

Examples may include:

  • Government authorities
  • Payment gateways
  • Appointment platforms
  • Professional service providers
  • Communication providers

Charges already paid to or incurred through such third parties may be non-refundable.

6. Government Delays or Rejection

MarriageNCR does not control government appointments, verification, processing or approval.

Therefore, a government delay, appointment cancellation or rejection does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund of all amounts paid.

We will, however, explain the available options based on the circumstances of the service.

7. Duplicate Payments

If you accidentally make the same payment more than once for the same service, please contact us as soon as possible.

After verifying the transaction, an eligible duplicate payment may be refunded to the original payment method, subject to applicable payment-processing charges.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation or refund, contact us with:

  • Your name

  • Booking or order reference, if available
  • Payment date
  • Amount paid
  • Reason for the request

9. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, we will generally process it through the original payment method where possible.

The time required for the amount to appear in your account can depend on the payment provider or bank.

10. Non-Refundable Situations

A refund may not be available where:

  • The requested service has already been substantially completed
  • Third-party or government charges have already been paid
  • The customer provided incorrect or incomplete information
  • The customer failed to provide required documents
  • The customer failed to attend a scheduled appointment
  • The customer requested an unlawful or prohibited service
  • The applicable booking terms specifically state that the service is non-refundable

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy when our services, payment arrangements or business practices change.

The latest version will always be published on this page.

12. Important Disclaimer

MarriageNCR is an independent marriage information and assistance platform. It is not a government department, court or Marriage Registrar’s office.

Government decisions, appointments, processing times and certificate issuance are outside our control. Payment of a MarriageNCR service fee does not guarantee government approval or certificate issuance.

If a specific service has separate cancellation or refund terms, those terms will apply to that service.
